TEMPORARY PLACEHOLDER — REPLACE WITH COUNSEL-REVIEWED VERSION
Effective September 2026 · pre-alpha · Last updated: October 11, 2026
2026-10-16 — Identity-request sentence reworded.
2026-10-16 — Contact address changed from hello@fanparking.space to support@fanparking.space.
This page describes how FanParking.Space (“FanParking,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use the website, app, and related services for the pre-alpha. It is a working draft placeholder so the product is not silent on privacy. It is not legal advice and is not a substitute for a counsel-reviewed privacy policy. Operator legal entity name and registered address: [PLACEHOLDER — Gil to insert].
Questions: support@fanparking.space.
1. Who this covers
Fans, hosts, property owners who confirm consent, lot crew, and anyone who browses the site, creates an account, books or lists parking, or opts into SMS.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use FanParking, we may collect:
- Account: name, email, login credentials, profile details.
- Booking: event, stall, vehicle plate/description, arrival preferences.
- Location: map pin and listing address; after payment, arrival/entrance notes for the booked fan; check-in signals (for example QR or GPS) if you use check-in features.
- Payments: payment method metadata and transaction amounts via our processors (for example Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on FanParking servers when card checkout is used.
- Communications: emails, in-product messages, SMS if you opt in (for example booking updates), and problem reports.
- Device / usage: IP address, browser or app type, pages viewed, and approximate diagnostics needed to run and secure the service.
- Host / listing: photos, stall details, property owner's consent status, and, once payouts open, payout details (such as payout destination) through our processors.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
3. How we use information
- Provide marketplace bookings, Spot Passes, check-in, credits, and support.
- Show listing location details to the right party at the right time (address after payment for the booked fan, as described in product).
- Process credits and fraud and safety checks, and payments and payouts once they open.
- Send transactional messages; send SMS only if you opt in.
- Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
4. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Hosts — what they need to fulfill a booking (fan first name or display name, vehicle identifiers, event/time, check-in status). Street address is controlled by product rules and is not sold as a public directory.
- Payment and infrastructure providers — for example Stripe, hosting, auth, analytics, SMS, maps (only as needed to operate the service).
- Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk, which processes the account details you give when you sign in, such as your email address, to run your account.
- Professional advisors or successors — lawyers, accountants, or in connection with a merger, financing, or sale, under appropriate protections.
- Law enforcement — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell personal information for money. If we ever use advertising or analytics cookies that qualify as a “sale” or “share” under state privacy laws, we will update this policy and provide required choices.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies needed to sign you in, keep sessions secure, and remember preferences.
Analytics (live): We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page-view measurement on our hosting. It is intended as first-party, privacy-oriented analytics (vendor-described as cookieless / not for advertising). Details: Cookie notice.
Marketing: We do not currently run advertising or marketing pixels on the public site. If that changes, we will update this section and the Cookie notice and provide required choices.
6. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including bookings, credits, dispute handling, security, and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it when no longer required. Exact schedules: [PLACEHOLDER — counsel / ops].
7. Your choices and rights
- Update account profile and garage details in-product.
- Opt out of non-essential SMS; transactional booking messages may still be required to fulfill a reservation.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by emailing support@fanparking.space. We will confirm your identity and respond as required by applicable law.
- California and other U.S. state residents may have additional rights (know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/share). To exercise them, email us with the subject line “Privacy request.” We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
Do Not Sell / Share: During this placeholder period we do not sell personal information. If that changes, we will provide a clear opt-out link.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a pre-alpha marketplace. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. International users
The pre-alpha is aimed at users in the United States. If you access the service from elsewhere, you understand information may be processed in the U.S.
Optional check-in assist (cameras)
TEMPORARY — ring-hackathon-temp-v0.1 (not counsel-reviewed; replace after hackathon).
Hosts may choose to connect a doorbell or driveway camera they already own to help confirm arrivals. This is off unless the Host turns it on, and Fans are told on the booking page when a listing uses it.
When it is on, we receive still images from that camera around the booked arrival window only. We use them to help confirm that a booked vehicle arrived. We do not use them for face recognition, and we do not create face templates. We may read the license plate in a still only to match it to the plate on the booking.
Ring stills used for check-in are kept until our team deletes them. Automatic deletion after check-out is planned and not yet in place. You can ask us to delete a still at any time by emailing support@fanparking.space. FanParking staff see arrival status only, not the images. Stills are never sent by text message.
Hosts can disconnect the camera at any time. Fans and Hosts can ask us to delete images linked to them at support@fanparking.space. We will complete the request within 30 days, or when any dispute hold ends.
We share stills only with the service providers that process them for us. We never sell them.
10. Changes
We may update this placeholder as the product and counsel review evolve. We will change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be called out in-product or by email when appropriate.
